3 ways to make your wedding guests feel special

Not seventeen ideas. Three that actually change how people feel when they leave your wedding.

You can spend months choosing flowers, menus, music and all the little details of your wedding.

But your guests probably won't remember all of them.

They'll remember how your wedding made them feel.

So if you're wondering how to make your wedding guests feel special, start with three things.

1. Make them feel known

Being invited and feeling included are two different things.

Your guests aren't just names on a seating chart. They're the people who watched your relationship grow, supported you through different chapters and helped you become who you are.

Find a way to acknowledge that.

It could be a personal message, an old photo, an inside joke or simply telling them why having them there matters.

A place card tells someone where to sit.

Something personal tells them why they belong there.

2. Give them a way to be part of it

Most weddings are designed around the couple while guests experience everything from the outside.

Give them opportunities to contribute.

Ask a meaningful question. Start conversations at the table. Let them share a memory. Give them somewhere to leave a message.

And consider flipping the traditional wedding guest book entirely.

Instead of only asking what your guests want to say to you, tell them what you've always wanted to say to them.

That's what we created wordthy for.

You send each guest something personal. They can respond. And suddenly a wedding message becomes a conversation between people who matter to each other.

3. Give them something worth keeping

Wedding favours are lovely.

But the things we keep aren't always things.

A message from someone you love. A photograph with a story behind it. Words you've never heard them say before.

Those can matter years after the candles, menus and flowers are gone.

So when you're thinking about your wedding guest experience, don't only ask:

What should we give our guests?

Ask:

How do we want them to feel when they leave?

Known. Included. Appreciated.

That's the kind of wedding people remember.

And really, that's what wordthy is about.

Celebrating your relationship, while celebrating the relationships that got you there.
